I'm Rick Self, your local Lincoln, Nebraska, State Farm agent. I have worked in the insurance industry for over 37 years and am grateful for the opportunity to serve my community. We also serve Iowa, Kansas and South Dakota.

I earned my finance degree from the University of Nebraska Lincoln and am a chartered life underwriter (CLU) and chartered property and casualty underwriter (CPCU). I am a member of NAIFA and a Leadership Lincoln Alum. In addition to these professional organizations, I'm an Ambassador for Life club member, a proud member of the JA Golden Apple Society, and I serve on the board of directors for Junior Achievement.

I enjoy being active in my community and volunteering in schools, fishing, and hunting in my free time. I'm a pretty simple guy who genuinely values family. I am a proud husband to my wife, Shelly, and a father to our four daughters, two of whom work with me at the agency. We also have five grandchildren whom we love spending time with.
